  We spent the weekend here. 2 adults & 2 children in family room. Great size room. Extremely welcoming staff & very friendly. Breakfast was definitely 5 star. Nice family friendly bar with karaoke & separate pool room (which the kids loved). Safe car parking on site. Well situated & close to main attractions, but on a quiet side road. Would definitely return for another stay & recommend to others! Thank you to the owners & staff for a great weekend.

  Great location, staff were lovely and breakfast was good. As we approached the door we were greeted by two tin buckets full of cigarette ends which we were quite shocked by. We stayed in a family room on the ground floor, It was a little noisy at night though. We could hear the staff changing a barrel and talking to one another. The room itself could do with a lick of paint and updating. It could do with some new curtains as they kept getting stuck when we tried to close them. There was no wardrobe to hang any clothes. No extra pillows so my husband had to prop himself up with towels. After showering the bathroom floor was soaked, the shower jetted off in all directions and there needs to be a better door on the shower and not just a curtain. The shower also took a while to drain. There was no soap in the hand dispenser in the bathroom either. It was fine for one night but we wouldn't be able to do any longer.

  We just left this morning after only stopping 2 nights unfortunately but have allready pre booked for a much longer stay early September. The staff just can't do enough for you. The breakfast is a well loaded plate of your choosing, and the rooms are clean. I can't give it five stars for the silly reason that minor work is in progress. And with that all I can say is thanks Charnwood Hotel

  Customer services was good, as was the breakfast. The shower was stone cold or too hot. Good enough for a one night stay
